For this project on the Analakely markets, Patrick Pleutin, a French visual artist, asked me to produce a book about his trip to Madagascar. There, he painted market scenes, portraits of market gardeners, local produce, etc. He then collaborated with Niry Ravoninahidraib, a Madagascan writer who wrote texts based on his drawings. The book I designed is a mixture of texts by Niry Ravoninahidraib and paintings by Patrick Pleutin.
